Argentine lawyer Agostina Páez, detained in Brazil, continues to await a prompt response from the judge who must issue the final ruling for the lawyer to return to the country. However, she is still wearing an electronic ankle monitor. In a conversation with the Argentine News Agency, sources close to the investigation indicated that the amount of the bail has not yet been set, as it is also at the discretion of the magistrate, who must or must not impose financial compensation for the alleged crime. Agostina has been in the neighboring country for over two months, following an argument with restaurant employees that ended with obscene gestures from the waiters and the respondent's response, which led to a case for racial insult. Nevertheless, the period of time the influencer will remain detained is also unknown, despite the defense side having already presented the corresponding allegations without further delays. Despite having accused of receiving threats and being harassed, the lawyer is calmer, along with her father, and cannot remove the electronic ankle monitor. On March 24, the accused faced the first instruction and trial hearing, where she was sentenced to two years, and her defender, Carla Junqueira, detailed that the process could take place in Argentina, while recounting that Páez apologized to each of the plaintiffs. There, the first meeting took place between those who accused her of making racist gestures and her defense: 'It was a successful first stage for the defense. The services will be in Argentina.'
